Claremont House is pleased to offer rooms for hire for your events.
Our Main Hall – Seats 300 people in comfort and is fully accessible to users with disabilities.
Services available include a stage, basic lighting, a comprehensive sound system, wired and wireless microphones and projection for presentations and video. These services can be provided with operators or not, depending on your requirements and capabilities. A hearing loop system provides help for those using enabled hearing aids and this floor is serviced by a passenger lift.
Our Seminar Room seats up to 75 people in rows or 50 people seated at tables. Many users provide drinks and light refreshments here before or after performances in the main hall. It is ideal for meetings of up to 75 people.
Audio Visual services can be provided for the Seminar Room.
Our Lower Hall
Our Lower Hall, which is presently being updated, seats about 150+ and is entered from the Bark Street entrance. Currently used at various times by four different churches, it is ideal for church meetings and functions. It is serviced by separate utilities from the Main Hall and the two can be used at the same time without undue interaction. (Photo to follow).
The Lower Hall comes complete with a simple sound system, including 4 wired microphones, a baptism pool and access via a stair lift for those with walking difficulties. As the decor is not yet up to the standard of the Main Hall, this is a more economic rental option.
Our Upper Room.
Every church should have an Upper Room – after all, that’s where The Church began!
Ours is a particularly interesting room, used by the children’s church on Sundays. It’s somewhat quirky, but a great place to be. The main area is 7m x 6.5m, but it also has a low stage of 5m wide by 1.5m deep – an ideal place for an intimate concert.
Our Prayer Room is available to the public when the office is open. At other times it can be hired as a small meeting room or classroom (seating up to 10).
Classrooms are available for rehearsal and teaching purposes. Rooms are well decorated and pleasant. Tables and chairs can be provided if needed.
Catering – We are able to recommend caterers who will provide food to your taste. Kitchen facilities are available for providing snacks and drinks, but not for preparing meals.
We are also able to provide water boilers and pre-packaged cups of coffee and tea for a very reasonable charge.
There is a large and convenient NCP car park about 200m from Claremont House. Parking is free at weekends.
Parking meters are usually available in nearby streets for stays of up to 2 hours. Parking meters on nearby roads are free after 6pm and on Sundays.
There are several paid car parks in the Bark Street area at the back of the building. Some are free in the evening.
