Find Us

We are located on St George’s Road (B6205), just off the centre of Bolton, not far from Debenhams and the Market Place. Ours is a big building close to the traffic lights at Topp Way and St Georges Road.  If using a GPS, the postcode BL1 2BY will get you very close.

By Car:

On Sundays we enjoy free parking at the Topp Way NCP car park, about 200 yards from the front door, courtesy of Bolton Council.  The parking meters in St Georges Road are free after 6pm every day and on Sundays.

By Public Transport:

Many buses, including the 125, 501, 575 and 576, stop at the stop named "Claremont",  just outside our doors, while many more stop at the Market Hall.  For more detailed public transport directions, try the moovit site here.

We meet every Sunday at 10.30 am and at other times as advertised.  We can promise you a warm welcome.  If you would like any information about our church or our events please contact our church administrator (use the church contact details, below).

Ironman UK and temporary road closures

This Sunday sees the  Ironman UK and Ironkids Triathlon Events taking place in the general areas of Horwich, Adlington, Rivington and Bolton.  Several roads will be closed over various parts of the weekend to accommodate this - however, although the contestants pass outside of the back door of Claremont House, there will be no difficulty in accessing the church through the front doors.

The situation is quite complex and there are comprehensive details on Bolton Council's web site (http://www.bolton.gov.uk/website/pages/Roadclosuresandrestrictions.aspx).  Basically only roads to the West of Bolton (towards Horwich / Chorley) plus a small area of Bolton town centre are affected, but here is a quick summary:
Chorley New Road is closed from the Crown roundabout in Horwich all the way to Bolton town centre;
The road from the Crown roundabout in Horwich towards Chorley, the A673 Bolton Road, is mostly closed;
Crown Lane and Lee Lane in Horwich are mostly open but may be closed where they join the Crown roundabout;
De Havilland Way from Middlebrook (Tesco) to the Beehive roundabout in Horwich is closed;
Beaumont Road is complicated and would be best avoided;
Chorley Old Road, all the way from Horwich to Bolton is open;
St Georges Road and Topp Way (in Bolton) are open as normal;
Moss Bank Way, Halliwell Road, Wigan Road, Bury Road etc are open as normal.
Bark Street, the small roads around the church and Knowsley Street are all closed.
The M61 is unaffected, apart from the closure of part of de Havilland Way from Junction 6 to Horwich mentioned above;
All other main tributary roads to Bolton town centre will be open as normal, including Junctions 4 and 5 of the M61 and the A666.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday - there is certainly no reason why the road closures should prevent anyone from attending.
