What’s Happening?

“… It’s true – when I pray, Jesus Christ somehow finds a way to lead me through my most difficult problems … even those at work”

Church at Claremont

Please join us every Sunday in Claremont House for our main meeting, which starts at 10:30 and finishes around midday.  We spend some time singing and worshiping God, led by our musicians and singers; we spend some time praying and encouraging each other; we listen to a message from God’s Word (the Bible), which is relevant to the real world in which we live; and we share a drink and biscuit together, allowing us to get to know each other.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are a Christian believer; undecided; or simply want to see what happens.

Come and hear about real things that God is doing in the lives of real people who live in this town.

“… Do this to remember Me …”

“On the night when He was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then He broke it in pieces and said, “This is My body, which is given for you. Do this to remember Me.”  In the same way, He took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and His people—an agreement confirmed with My blood. Do this to remember Me as often as you drink it.”
(1 Corinthians 11:23-25 NLT)

We usually share bread and wine to remember Jesus at least once a month, but we often find other occasions too.  The next planned dates will be at the Sunday services on:

September 17

 Powerhouse Prayer Meeting

A church communicates with God by prayer and our experience says that the prayer meetings are essential to our healthy growth.  No matter who you are, you will find benefit personally from praying and the church will benefit too.

We encourage personal prayer at all times and we meet monthly on Wednesday evenings for an opportunity to pray together.  Everyone is welcome.

Our Powerhouse Prayer meetings are on

the first Wednesday of each month

Powerhouse prayer meetings are held in the Seminar Room at Claremont House at 7:30pm

” … we had a ‘pop-up’ prayer time at Steve and Lesley’s home recently.  Sian brought his guitar and we had a great time of praise and sharing stories of God’s goodness … and we PRAYED”

Jesus told us to: “Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit …”  (Matthew 28:19)

The church is pleased to offer Christian training to members and non-members alike.  Below you can read about some of the courses that we offer:

Church at Claremont

Freedom in Christ – an opportunity to become the person that God always intended for you to be.  Jesus Christ said that; “If the Son (that is Himself) sets you free, then you will be really free…” (John 8:36) – and if Jesus said it, He meant it!  This course will help anyone to move into the truth of that promise.

The next course is now being planned.  Please let us know if you would like to attend – and which day / time is best for you.

Alpha Course

We hold these courses when there is a demand, so please let us know if you are interested and we will include you in our planning for our next course.

By the way, you don’t have to belong to a church to attend Alpha.  For many people it is just an introduction to Christianity that makes sense and leads to friendships and a new relationship with God Himself.
